Laissez - Faire

Laissez - Faire
In Laissez Faire, SUPERBLOOM departs from celebration and enters confrontation — a visual reckoning with the cost of passivity in a world spiraling between control and collapse. Inspired by the economic philosophy of non-intervention, the piece reinterprets laissez-faire as both a personal and political mirror. A chaotic, expressive border mimics freedom, while a compressed black center suggests constraint — contained madness, or order inside disorder. The tension between the two evokes the psychological friction between letting go and losing control.
SUPERBLOOM’s signature flower figures appear fractured, masked, or anonymous — their identities in flux, drifting between bloom and breakdown. One figure holds a flower: part offering, part warning. Rendered with cubist echoes, the work reflects the fragmentation of modern life, where autonomy is sacred, uncertain, and increasingly complex. Laissez Faire challenges the viewer to ask: Are we free, or are we lost in the noise?
